Logarithmic expansion

The calculator makes it possible to obtain the logarithmic expansion of an expression.

The calculator makes it possible to calculate on line the logarithmic expansion of an expression that involves logarithms : it is used both for the neperian logarithm and for the decimal logarithm. The calculator makes it possible to do symbolic calculations, it is therefore possible to combine numbers and letters.

  • Calculation of expression of the form ln(a*b)
  • The calculator can make logarithmic expansions of expression of the form ln(a*b) by giving the results in exact form : thus to expand `ln(3*x)`, enter expand_log(`ln(3*x)`), after calculation, the result is returned.

  • Calculation of expression of the form `ln(a/b)`
  • The calculator can also make logarithmic expansions of formula of the form `ln(a/b)` by giving the results in exact form : thus to expand `ln(2/x)`, enter expand_log(`ln(2/x)`), after calculation, the result is returned.

  • Calculation of expression of the form `ln(a^b)`
  • The calculator can also make logarithmic expansions of formula of the form `ln(a^b)` by giving the results in exact form : thus to expand `ln(x^3)`, enter expand_log(`ln(x^3)`), after calculation, the result is returned.

    Syntax :

expand_log(expression), where expression is a logarithmic expression
