Round a decimal number : How to use it?
This calculator allows you to round up or down a decimal number with the desired number of digits after the decimal point.
Syntax :
round(nombre), where number represents a decimal.
Examples :
- round(3.1415926535898;2)`=3.14`
- round(2.718281828459)`=3`
Rounding a number means giving an approximate value of that number with a certain number of digits after the decimal point.
- A number is said to be rounded up when the approximate value is larger than the number.
- A number is said to be rounded down when the approximate value is smaller than that number.
The calculator can be used to give the whole rounding of a decimal number, or to obtain the rounding of a decimal number with a given number of digits after the decimal point.
